User Reviews about Swingline LightTouch Heavy Duty Stapler (S7090010B)
I recently bought this Swingline LightTouch Heavy Duty stapler and after my first use I was delighted with it. I often have large reports to staple and this stapler handled them beautifully. Other staplers will also handle large numbers of pages, but I chose this one because it uses one single staple size for jobs from 20 to 120 pages. Now that I have also stapled reports that are in the 40-50 page range I am not so enamored with the stapler. The excess length of the staples is folded under the last page on long reports (rather than cutting the staples short, which I had anticipated), but often sticks out of the top of the first page of shorter reports. Other reviewers complained about staple jams, but their comments make it clear that the problems were with the inability of their staff to use the proper staples; the problems were not with the stapler itself. I heartily recommend this stapler for those who consistently have large stapling jobs, but shorter stapling jobs have shown me that there is a place for those staplers that take a range of staple sizes. -- Works a little less than a charm.
This stapler has done exactly what it is designed to do, staple large stacks of paper with a light touch in a high volume environment. No issues with jamming. The one time it jammed it was my fault for twisting the stack of paper while it was stapling. I have never heard of issues with this model except when people use the wrong staple in it. Read and follow the instructions and you will be very happy. -- No problems for six months...
