User Reviews about Swingline LightTouch Reduced Effort Stapler - 20-Sheet Capacity - Black (66402)
I love this stapler, however, the spring came off two weeks after I started using it. I have to staple cover sheets on cardboard file folders and, instead of punching the stapler, I only had to use one finger. My co-workers loved the "lack of noise". They said it sounded like I was mad when I used a regular stapler. However, while this stapler is said to staple 20 sheets at a time, I don't think it is heavy duty enough for what I have to do. Fortunately, I kept the box it came in and there was an 800 number to call for consumer questions. I found out this stapler had a two year warranty and they sent me a free replacement and all I had to do was toss the broken one. I hope that this one lasts longer than two weeks because my wrists and elbows were getting sore from using a regular stapler since normal amount of file folders needing cover sheets run from 30 to 60 a week or more. Does not sound like much when reading this review, but I have to make them all at the same time to make up the customer files. And when every other staple goes in bent, and it has to be removed than replaced, when using a regular stapler, the chore with the Light Touch stapler is faster because every staple goes in perfect and quietly. I've got my fingers crossed this one will work for a long time. -- Swingline LightTouch Reduced Effort Stapler
I never thought I'd spend the time to write a review of a stapler. Too mundane. Sort of like writing a review of adhesive tape. But that was my thinking before I bought this Swingline LightTouch Reduced Effort Stapler.
Since buying this stapler, I have collected all the old "normal" staplers that were laying around my office and house and put them in the garage sale box. This stapler is that good that it rendered all the others nearly worthless.
So what's so great about this stapler? It's ease of use. Well, all staplers are easy to use right? You put a couple pieces of paper under it and push. How much easier could it get? Well a lot easier in fact. You still have to put the paper into the stapler, but the action of stapling is so much easier with this stapler, it's like having power-assist. It requires literally a minimal amount of effort to staple through up to 20 pages of paper.
I never thought I'd "love" a stapler, but I love this one. It's earned it's place on my desk and I tell people about it all the time.
Yes, it's only a stapler but what a great stapler it is.
5 stars. -- Could be the perfect stapler?
